The thai star fruit plant is normally grown in full sun across the tropics and is quite hardy as long as the temperatures are not cold over a prolonged period. In the UK it is kept as a house plant! It likes a good amount of water but particularly rainy seasons can cause it to produce little or no fruit.
Once the plant reaches a couple of years old it will have flowers most of the year and will produce fruit from late spring to early summer.
